Female folk choir "Sofia", part of community centre "Badnina - 1982" was created in the beginning of April 2009. The community center board chaired by Mrs. Rositsa Nedkova and Secretary Pavlinka Keremidarova supported Choir from the beginning. Under the guidance of the young and talented conductor - Ms. Ivelina Dimova, the Choir gains routine and precision in a very short time. The Choir participated in the numerous events organized by the Community center and the Municipality, also participated in numerous folklore competitions in Bulgaria. Choir "Sofia" participated for the first time in contest abroad in 2017 in Prague, Czech Republic.
In the last few years, Choir "Sofia" has continued to perform and won awards for many national and international folk festivals. Milena Stavreva became a choir-master of female folk choir "Sofia" in the beginning of the 2015/2016 season.
The enthusiasm of the choir singers, the belief in choir's future, and the love of folk music are the things that unite the women of choir "Sofia".
The beauty of polyphonic chorus singing and harmony of voices are revealed when we singing without accompaniment.
Female Folk Choir "Sofia" sing Bulgarian folklore processed by famous composers from all regions of the country. Songs with authentic sound are also played.
The existence of folklore choir “Sofia” and Choir’s participation in Bulgarian and international folklore festivals would be impossible without patriotism and sponsorship.
